🚀 In addition to my Saturday ramblings, I thought I’d also give you an occasional rundown of the more interesting UK sustainable food startups I’ve come across which are currently raising funds from the general public.
⚠️ This is not investment advice! Do with this information what you will. I just find it interesting to read the stories of these companies and their founders, and I hope you will too.
This week’s picks
🦌 Wild & Game. Rather than focussing on farmed meat, this company is managing existing game populations in the UK to provide a sustainable food source, direct to consumers.
👨🏻🍳 All About The Cooks. Etsy for home cooking. This is an online marketplace for home cooks to sell quality meals to neighbours. The activity is all centred around Bristol at the moment.
🍽 Tendril. Interesting concept – essentially a restaurant for people looking to reduce their meat intake without compromising on flavour. Their menus look attractive.
🎤 What do you think of these companies? Want to see more like this in future? Or do you know of any others I should be looking at?
Let me know in the comments.
